“‘Epistrophy’ rides a shuffling, Jovian beat provided by Eric’s syncopated percussion. The piano adds visceral tones, while the sax skitters deep braying textures, oozing with tension. The freewheeling flavor of the tune conveys complicated layers of shuddering effects, as if lonely, confused, and feverish with edgy resolves.

“Freedom is, but a Fraction of Humanity! travels on a cool drum shuffle topped by plinking piano notes and a popping bassline. The sax joins in, investing the music with tight, deep-hued intonations. When the sax begins to burp, the percussive accents respond in antiphony, giving the tune a back-and-forth effect. This track is improv jazz at its finest as the musicians counter each other with aplomb.

TILTED’s dominant trait is passionate excellence and profound creativity.”
